Going through some folders and ran across this from last September. My daughter was here and we went down to the city. This is a reflection of us watching some street performers. D800 with the 24-120mm F4, VR. Nice walk around lens. Plenty sharp.
As always the photos on PAD are superb. I'm energized each day with the new posts!
adamz's zebra photo inspired me to process a few of my personal zebra shots from my month in South Africa a couple months ago... D4, 70-200/2.8+TC-17eII | 270mm 1/640@f/8
A quick snap at the breakfast table on vacation. Utilized some new features of Lightroom 5 in this edit. Pretty cool stuff. Taken with the D40/35mm 1.8 combo. Still love that pair.
Peter, love the colour contrast & sky especially in that shot. rschnaible, genuine depth in that landscape. PitchBlack, composition has to be close to perfect in that shot, very nice. pippi, very lush, lovely shot. There are others but I won't go on.
Great shots folks ! ... left comments on your Flickr pages ... ...here's a pair of Chestnut-tailed Starlings (the one in the front is the female, lost a bit of focus on her) ... the male is apparently here to explain why they're named so .....
On most of the shelters, there are strings hung from the ceiling so you can hang your food where mice have a harder time getting it. Here I hung my umbrella (made of thin sil-nylon) and my headlamp from one of these strings, so the umbrella was a diffuser and my headlamp could dimly light the entire shelter. Unfortunately for several days my camera wound up shooting in JPEG because the quality button must have been bumped over and I didn't notice, so I couldn't clean it up too much.
