Spent the afternoon watching old time baseball at the Old Bethpage Restoration Village. I was practising my timing and caught the moment of impact.
I know digital does all sorts of amazing things, but can it see into the future? The guy on deck looks like Derek Jeter. In ten years with a few pounds. It appears his form has deteriorated; Incoming. Outgoing. Look carefully, in both shots, you can see the ball by his elbow.
I posted this earlier in the other thread as well. I had cropped it but I really like how the eyes are in focus but the proboscis is really really in focus.
Wow, a few days away and the bar gets raised. Rschnaible, something about that one really grabs me. Adam, fantastic. Squamish, your portrait work continues to amaze me every day.
I'm continuing to sift through images from Lake Tahoe. Here's the last light of the day hitting the NV side. D90 | 70-200 | f/6.3 | 1/100s | ISO 400
I'm astounded by the images on this page everyone!! The wildlife and landscapes are incredible. @ PitchBlack and SquamishPhoto your portraits totally inspire me. Thanks
Yesterday's shots were spellbinding ..... I think one of the best days I've seen on PAD since I joined last year...
@Squamish : outstanding portrait, here's my attempt at one ... my young nephew seems to be fond of the camera, even at an age when he has to be held while sitting, lest he topple himself over ...
Mine for the day, still from Dresden - Germany. Today we are heading back to Paris. We have left Denmark this afternoon and zipped by to Oldenberg Germany, tomorrow, Amsterdam. I now have to add Denmark to my preferred list, absolutely gorgeous (I know nothing of their winters), many different scenery, lots of beautiful coastlines, lost of wheat and cereals fields, beautiful architecture, clean cities, beautiful active and fit people everywhere, adorable children. For the little I know of it, this country just feels great.
