Been busy doing this and that. Shot a group vowel renewal this past weekend and spent the mass just snapping photos here and there. The stained glass in this church was unbelievable. The colors were spectacular.
Not too much for me recently... lots of my free time is going toward dancing and preparing my kit for the Appalachian Trail. With D800, 16-35mm f4G VR, and 85mm f/1.8G, my pack is running at about 40 pounds. I will probably swap out lenses over the trip to get different kinds of shots, and might even consider my 70-200 during the summer when I can mail home some heavy winter kit.

finally back up and running.... sigh. Life with electricity is much better - heating, fridge, running water, all the little gismos modern life has to offer. We still have about 80,000 households without power in the area. Quick explanation for all non-Americans: all non- tube utilities run above ground here (electricity, phone, cable/internet) and things take a turn for the ugly if the trees are starting to come down and take it all with them. First shot is from a neighbor that had a visit from a 70 year old pine:
Great shots everyone!! I am really inspired by the different points of view and composition =D> @Ton: simply amazing timing on the bird. Wow! @tganiats: Wonderful macro. Would love to learn your process.
@Sand: Keep at it. Your HDR technique needs some more refining, as well as the manner in which you did your post processing. Keep at it and you will find your way. Should you have some questions please send me a PM and I will give you some ideas.
@Benji2505: Glad you are back on the air. It is truly amazing to see the power of mother natures wrath. I hope you and your neighbors all recover fast. Best wishes.

Thank you for all of these Adam. I really like seeing other people's travels. This is from Jordan. One of 9 children of a bedouin man who invited us into his tent. D90 | 24-70 | 62mm | f/5 | 1/125s | ISO 400 post processed using Silver Efex
Wow, what a great group of photos! Benji, glad you are back on line. El_Pick, let us know when you begin your great adventure. 40 lbs isn't too bad for the pack. I have done many with 45, which is something you note.
Love looking at other's photos, particularly like the portraits. I'm trying to keep up. This is a bribe to the cardinal because he wouldn't hold still anywhere else. Took through the bedroom window so he wouldn't see me.

Can you upload directly to PAD ?
Not HDR'd, just shadows lifted a little to get more detail under the bridge.
Any critique is welcome.
