From the way back machine, before computers... A dupe from Kodachome that was used as a Playbill for a dance company a long time ago, take with an F2, exposure not recorded nor remembered.
I turned this image into B&W after I tried an HDR process on this subject and really didn't like it (I'm actually going off HDR in comparison to LR4 with one careful raw exposure).
@Msmoto: Nice corvid indeed! Question: Does LR4.3 have lens corrections for the 800mm? I noticed a fair bit of fringing on the back of the birds neck. You can manually check defringe BTW - it works brilliantly.
Today I offer caterpillar feet. One last macro before I upload a few 'normal' picts. This photo is interesting when viewed larger on Flickr. Composite of 14 images taken with D80, 60 mm Nikon macro lens & 36 mm extension tube then processed with Helicon Focus.
That is a superb Macro tganiats! I looked through your Flickr stream and you're the man on stacks by the look of it. You should do a thread on your process - we would love to read it!
A tough little Asian Ornamental Flowering Cabbage. Its just about the only vegetation that seems to thrive during these long winter months with regular temperatures hitting -20 and limited daily sunlight.
Thanks for your kind words. Actually, it's just a little practice and the right software. The last two posted here used a D80 and Helicon Focus...This means the focus adjustments were all done by hand. Yech!
I just got Helicon Remote, which automates the whole process. www.heliconsoft.com. (I don't work for them). My recent work (e.g., raspberries earlier this month) were using this and a D800. OH MY...great software.
I am sure there are others, too.
I think I've had my photo for the day, so tomorrow I will post one more.
