Thanks seven and NSX - it turned out to be a wrongly labelled and described 14mm f2.8 prime. Duh.

    What
The +1 -1 buttons on this forum need to be like they are on Facebook - a list of those who have used them needs to pop up next to the button when you hover over it. I actually find that it stops me using them because I would like people to see I agree/disagree with a point.

@Admin - is it possible Peter?
Someday Admin will oblige us and then we will know who the jerks with no courage are.

Not saying that all people that use it to select -1 are jerks, but often they are.

This possibility should give people pause when using this feature and admin pause before introducing the upgrade.

I do agree that such an image should not be put in a public space frequented by public who are not going there expressly to see art including images such as these.

I do think that someone had poor taste, but pornography? Only a very narrow segment of the population would consider that to be pornography. If you are going to ban that as pornographic, then images of sheep should be banned.

As a matter of discretion and good judgment, certainly an argument to exercise better restraint in this case.

I stopped using the +1/-1 buttons via my iPhone. My big fingers occasionally hit the -1, requiring me to fix it.

Frankly, I don't look back at my posts enough to even notice the +1/-1 buttons at all so they're not of any importance to me, nor do I look at how many +s I get.

But I think knowing who hit each button would be cool as it could help grow interaction between members more easily.

Re: the +1 or -1 buttons..... only the perspective of one person, usually having nothing to do with the object about which the = or - was given. It says more about the person who would put a -1 on something than on the subject.

The only time to be critical is if someone directly asks for feedback.

Because plastic is so... Well, plastic.

So why do we need one made from SS instead of plastic?

Does it shorten any of the flash contacts? Maybe if it gets wet (rain)?

It may surprise you .. (it sure surprised me !) that stainless steel does not conduct electricity.

Cool factor and durability make sense as a reason to buy.

Can't wait to get my new drone and D400 to take vids like this one:

  • MsmotoMsmoto Posts: 5,398Moderator
Wow, a video, technically very well done from initial concept to the final cut. I think the goal was reached and exceeded in this production. IMO of course....

I thought it was done well too. but i couldn't help thinking 'that shot could have been done with a boom' in most places they used the drone. I do think camera drones allow for a lot of shots you can't typically get, the video just didn't show them.
