For Gitzo: That African Weaver bird! Vitelline Masked Weaver, Ngorongoro Crater. I got this guy on pure luck! I was on the other side of the Rover when I noticed him. I needed CoastalConn's Tammy!
Life's been busy. Winter doesn't want to end.. Just a fun picture I took last month. This deer sure enjoyed her dinner, despite the harsh conditions. Wish she would share some of that joy!
some deers ... the big building i posted yesterday, is in nara park, which has a lot of tame deers in it. this is looking up the road that approaches it, through the entrance gate, and at the very background is that large building. d700, 70-200
I haven't had a lot of time to spend on the forum these past few months. I'm loving having so many photos to look through, though. Keep it up, everyone!
Here's a photo of a watch from my father-in-law's collection. He loves watches and this one is called the Triad Firefly, shown here in flashlight mode.

CC is welcome. DC is also welcome when I deserve it.
@ Rx4Photo Magnificent ! I love the sun's rays coming through the big hole in the clouds; I would love to see that at about 24 X 36
@ Sand I love the tree; is the green from the tree, or is it something growing beside the tree ? and the background.....it looks like fine sand ? (makes me wonder if I've been there) (also makes me wish I WAS there ! )
@ jonnyapple That's a WATCH ? a whole bunch of things come to mind; like you would need a large truck to carry the battery.........also......if you were wearing that in a theater and that thing "went off".........you would risk creating instant panic ! If you ever had a flat tire on a dark road late at night........you wouldn't need to worry about getting run over ! and........do we get to see a picture of it with the strobe lights not "blinking" ?
@ Rifqi Grandmother is a lovely lady, and I think that's a lovely picture of her !
@ Dredden85 What is - rig - mean? (I'am Dutch) Used the D300, 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II f/4. 1/2000, ISO 200. I have a serie from these, 2 others I put on Flickr, got 15 minutes from these models, normally they feed in the air.

Those who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it!
Yeti, I love this. How did you get so close? Mine for today. Got a little lucky. Sun setting at this bird's back, and the surrounding water acted as a giant reflector. D90 | 70-200 | f/5 | 200mm | 1/800s | ISO 400

it was pretty dark, so not as many photos as i would have liked
@SquamishPhoto - nice job making the fence disappear but preserving the angularity in the background. Superb!
Grandma came to visit the other day, so obviously she had to go in front of the camera.
