This Swan was rather oblivious to me for some reason. Decided to go for the head shot in flight... I know the purists will hate not having the whole bird, but we all know what swan butts look like
Oh wow You all share a really nice photo. I also want to share my photos please tell me how to put my photo in this discussion. All photo is so good to see a specially bird photos are really good.

Great images everyone. @ greybagel, that could very well be a stock house photo. @ Beso, love the sunstar from that lens at f/11. It'll probably wind up in my bag later this year. @ Nathen, that cityscape has a certain touch of surrealism. Excellent processing.
Now, a comment on my own photo....LOL. I went back into LR4.3 and fiddled with the crop trying to apply some sort of "rule" and move the image into the upper right "thirds" rule. It did not work and I kinda like the current version which has the flower trying to jump out of the photo.....oh well...maybe.
@Spraynpray- I just looked it up and you are right! I guess "Night Jack" is a nickname for them in Tanzania.
I needed CoastalConn's Tammy today. My 18-200 was just out of reach. I went in to work to try catch an interesting bird I've been seen when walking to lunch. I did not see any of them but I stumbled on a bird I have never seen before: A Hoopoe (hu-pu)! He would not express his "crown of feathers" for me. I sat there for an hour but he would not venture closer to me. Cropped 50%
