@Rx4Photo I could be wrong but the halo around the ship gives away your HDR like PP trick. I sometime push it too much too. Unless you intended to give it a ghostly effect.... in which case my appology..
It's pretty obvious isn't it!? No offense taken. As much as I did like the overall "look" of the image I didn't like that halo around the ship either and was tempted to just post the original, which probably would have been the best. I used one of the presets from Topaz Labs software that I've had for some time but rarely use. The more I learn about LR4 and CS5 the less I use those 3rd party programs anyway. Thanks, though. Your observations are always welcome, Pierre.
@ autofocus.....Great shot ! ( and couldn't agree more with you about the D-4 )
@ rschnaible......I LOVE that shot ! Beautiful !
And now from last summer..........
I love flowers, so last summer I decided to kill two birds with one stone; I thought I would plant some petunias, some gladiolas, (and a few more that I forget their names ); also, I can't resist rocks ! Been dragging them home now from almost every state, for maybe 30 years now; I decided to put a few of my favorite rocks in my flower bed, so I could "enjoy" the rocks along with the flowers. The pretty pink rock in the center is a chunk of red granite from a mine in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The purple rock on the right is from a river in New Hampshire. And the rock on the left is white quartz from North Carolina. ( but apparently I used the wrong picture, so you can't see the white quartz rock) The "glads" didn't do so well last summer it was so dry. (even thought I watered the things every day for 3 months!)
@Rx4Photo the below uses a similar technique, I edit-out the halo (mmmm maybe not completely) in CS5 using layers and mask. We really need to watch the edges at all zooming-sizes. BTW, I find lots of your work very impressive.
So many great photos posted here it's difficult to comment on all. I have visited a few on Flicker and made comments there. There are some amazing photographers in this group. I'm just an aspiring amateur. Keeping with my bike photo from yesterday I decided to go the street route today. I was playing with a star filter (had to experiment) so don't beat me up too bad.
@autofocus I like the stars but maybe that's a BIT overdone (but to each their own).
Here is a photo I took on Sunday. I was using the SB-700 as a fill flash as the midday sun was high and harsh. The stars in his sunglasses really gives him a rockstar look, IMO.

Discovered the blue filter preset in Aperture today! The center of the flower is normally bright yellow-orange.
