Love that hummingbird. I bought a feeder this year to see if I could shoot some. I think they're boycotting it.

This is Eagle Falls, just off the Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe.

@proudgeek: Hummingbirds are very territorial. Ours scares away (divebombs!) others. I never succeeded in shooting this, unfortunately. One of these days... In any case, ask neighbors whether they have them. Once the population becomes too crowded, one might wander into your backyard. He/she will come back every year after that.

  Step into the light.

As I was walking I timed the shot while walking to guess the angle and spot of the person. Shot by the hip.

@Aaron Are you allowed to do that on here? Seriously, who couldn't 'plus one' baby geese!

@ttsisgood dang you! It is as if the critter is waiting for you to get the shot. I guess I'm so ugly, I scare them away.

Great shots, people! I love that the postings are coming from an increasing number of people and not a flood from a select few.

  Great photos today everyone!

D800 + 24-70mm F2.8G at 70mm + SB-700 + SB-800. ISO100, 1/250s, F22. This shot makes me wish I had a third flash, the built in unit on the D800 isn't powerful enough to get the light on the subject the way I would like.

If I take a good photo it's not my camera's fault.
