Managed to sneak up on this guy hunting in my yard.

December 16th - I was ambitious and intended to hike about 27 miles across three days, from Vernon, NJ to Harriman, NY. Instead there was more snow than I thought, my shoes and socks were soaked through, and I decided to try again later. Hitched from the first road crossing back to my truck. This I'd Wawayanda Mountain seen from the beginning of the day.

Didn't have much sun during this visit to Riga, Latvia, but did get a little bit. Walked around a bit in a part of the city canal (Pilsētas kanāls) a little bit before the shoot. Started to rain around half an hour after I passed this area.

More backyard birding. I'm finding the combination of D800 + 300mm f/2.8 + TC2.0III to be sufficiently sharp most of the time, although not as consistent as I'd like. I felt like this was one of the good ones.
